Our Surroundings

Wags ‘n Mews is situated in Midrand in a wonderful country setting. It is in close proximity to Halfway House, Kyalami, Sunninghill and Lonehill, with resident birdlife and rabbits for our lodger’s entertainment. The radio is on a popular station all day, to simulate the home environment. We have a team of experienced and caring staff to ensure your pets every need is provided for.

We understand how precious your pets are to you. We love spending time with our guests, getting to know their little and large personalities and helping them overcome any fears they may have. Every one of our lodgers has time out in our gardens to have as much fun as possible. During the cold winter months, all our cat and dog lodgers are given extra blankets to snuggle under.

We have the facilities to take care of your girls when they come into season, understanding that they need to be kept safe and monitored closely. This is space and season dependent.

We offer a premium based pet food, the Hills Science Diet, including chicken breast/lean mince and rice to suit our guest’s needs. If there is a specific diet that you would like your pet to continue with whilst in our care, you are more than welcome to supply this, if we don’t stock it. Birds, guinea pigs and hamsters are also welcome. However, as space is limited, only a few are accommodated at any one time. We also have a fully equipped Grooming Parlour, in which we provide individual grooming attention to your dogs. Therefore, no overbooking is allowed, as space is limited to 2 or 3 dogs per day.
